One of my fondest memories is of my dad whistling for me on the beach, it meant his net was full, I’d run over and help him untangle his catch…🐠🐠🐠
I remember coming home from school, and heading straight to the ocean in my favorite peace sign bathing suit…I thought I was so cool.😜
I never thought, one day I’d ever be able to own a home in Hawaii across the street from the ocean…Where I can sit on my porch and hear the waves…cause every time I look out, I’m reminded of the blessings of my childhood and filled with GRATITUDE & APPRECIATION.
It means the world to me, cause for me, my growing up wasn’t always easy, the ocean wasn’t always calm, at times it was filled with raging seas and unchartered territory.😡🌊💨
✨So today, I make it a conscious choice to wake up, open my blinds, come home, sit on my porch, and remember the good. God reminds me, that I have a choice. I can look back and dwell on the struggle of being caught in the current, or lean in to the moments where He saved me from the break…🙌🏽
It’s like God’s in the channel, calling out to us in the break, while we’re being pummeled by life’s 40 foot faces, He calls out to us to swim towards Him. 🏊🏼♀️
It took me so long, fighting the current, being bashed by the waves, to finally realize, all I had to do was surrender and make my way to Him!
So, if you feel caught in the current of your past, drowning in the memories of what was, DON’T DO IT. Look past what was to what can be!
You won’t drown, He won’t let you. Just keep swimming!🙌🏽❤️🙏🏽🌊🏊🏼♀️…#godgotyou #justkeepswimming #surrender #yourpastisnotyourfuture #rememberthegood #yougotthis #notetoself #thankyoujesus #amen #oceantherapy #Heheals #godisgood
